PCA 2023 Preview Show #2 (A Look Back at 10 Products from PCA 2022)

Last year, we closed our Countdown to PCA 2022 with Brooks Whittington and Charlie Minato naming 10 new products we were looking forward to seeing at PCA 2022. Today, we’re going to take a look back and provide our thoughts on how those cigars and cigar accessories actually were. We’ve smoked some of the cigars—we’ve even reviewed a couple—and we’ve gotten to use some of the accessories. Now we’re going to look back at how we think those products made an impact or left something on the table.

What is a Cigar?

A cigar is a tube-shaped tobacco product that contains tightly rolled, cured tobacco in a tobacco leaf wrapper. It may also contain other ingredients, including substances to add flavor. Cigars are smoked by holding the end in one hand and puffing on it. Cigars should not be inhaled and they do not contain nicotine, but like cigarettes, smoking cigars can damage the mouth, larynx (voice box), esophagus, and lungs. Heavy cigar smokers are at greater risk of heart disease and lung diseases, such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

Cigars are often considered to be a luxurious, high-end product and have been historically portrayed in print media as something that only wealthy men smoke. Today, cigars have become more affordable and can be enjoyed by anyone who prefers to relax with a quality smoke in the comfort of their home or while out socializing.

There are many reasons why people enjoy smoking cigars, but it is often viewed as a relaxing activity that allows them to take some time away from the stresses of life and appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that goes into the making of a good premium cigar. It is also often a social activity that is shared with others, which can be a great way to bond and build relationships.

Michael could have easily worked as a consultant or held an executive position with any number of cigar companies, but chose instead to start his own brand, Ferio Tego. He incorporated some of the brands that he had helped develop and manage at Nat Sherman and began releasing new lines of his own. His work on the Timeless and Panamericana lines received rave reviews.
